Depending on your results, you’ll either hear the best news of your life, or it will be the hardest stage of all.
Between 12 and 14 days after your IVF embryo transfer, you will take a blood test to determine if you are now pregnant. While you may have already taken a urine test, a blood test conducted by your doctor will give you the most accurate results.
If your test is positive, you will begin the next stage of your life as you embrace your pregnancy. If the test is negative, honour your feelings and allow yourself to grieve. Call your clinic to book a follow-up appointment and arrange to speak with a counsellor. The doctor will discuss your future course of action and how your treatments will progress.
